Writing Your Management Plan for Forest Landowners, Sept. 11, 6-9pm

A message from OSU Extension Lincoln County Forestry Agent, Jim Reeb:
Writing Your Management Plan for Forest Landowners
First Class: Tuesday September 11, 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Register by: Monday August 20.

Do you have a management plan for your forest property? A management plan is a written document that identifies the goals and objectives for your forest property. It charts your chosen course of action and becomes a written history of your property. Most cost share programs require that the landowner has an up-to-date written management plan. If you want your property certified you need a current active management plan.

Want to create a written management plan for your property to be eligible for cost share programs or to ensure that your current plan meets certification standards? OSU Lincoln County Extension Service will present a workshop to help forest owners achieve these goals. Classes are scheduled for September 11th, October 2nd and October 16th. So we have time to prepare a resource packet of information for you, you must register by Monday, August 20th. Cost is $40 per family and multiple family members of the same property are encouraged to attend. Registration forms and information are available at: http://extension.oregonstate.edu/lincoln/forestry/news

OR come by the OSU Lincoln County Extension office at 29 SE 2nd Street in Newport. This workshop is supported by a grant from the USFS, State & Private Forestry. Partners include American Tree Farm System, Oregon Small Woodlands Association, Oregon Department of Forestry, Associated Oregon Loggers, Oregon Forest Resources Institute and the Society of American Foresters.
