Hey all you meat lovers we have meat lambs for sale. We have Oregon Coastal Cutters come to the farm and butcher them here and you give them cut and wrap directions. A whole lamb is $200, half a lamb is $125 and you pay for the butchering and wrapping ($85 last year per animal). A couple of weeks ago we had a lamb butchered and its hanging weight was 114 lbs. The animals have a wonderful life and they taste fabulous!

Lincoln SWCD Native Plant Sale

Lincoln SWCD is offering our Native Plant Sale summer-order option again this year. During the month of August, residents of Lincoln County can order native plants through our this option which allows those interested in using native plants for gardening, beautification or restoration to choose from a larger variety and order custom quantities of native plants that are priced at a more affordable rate than the 2 day sale event held in November (date to be announced).

Lincoln SWCD offers plants that are commercially available through wholesale native plant nurseries although sometimes availability changes at the last minute. Therefore, this year we are not requesting payment with orders, to simplify the process, unless you request large container sizes (greater than 1 gallon). Orders will be available the day before our Annual Native Plant Sale, with payment of cash or check required at time of pick up. To cover our costs, those orders not claimed (paid for) by the pick-up date will be added to the November sale event.

Attached is our 2014 Native Plant Guide and 2014 Order Form which you can also download from our website. The Guide provides details about each plant's water, soil, geographic preferences, and wildlife benefits.

Please submit Order Forms to Lincoln SWCD by August 29th, 2014. (and keep a copy of this Order Form for your records)
Please do not submit payment with this Order Form.

If you are interested in large container sizes, or have any questions, please contact Lincoln SWCD Watershed Technical Specialist, Josh Lambert by email or phone 541-265-2631.

All proceeds support our water quantity and habitat restoration programs. Native plants are a wonderful choice that benefit local insect, bird and wildlife and are adapted to our local climate.
