OSU Small Farms Program: Market farming track-& Community farming track

Keep in mind for next year...two options for participation in BUFA including:
Option 1: Market farming track-
Option 2: Community farming track-
Application window open until March 15th.
Applicants notified by March 21st.
Deadline to confirm registration is March 28th.
CF track start date will be moved back to Thursday April 7th.
Both tracks include classes and field trips, which will be conducted in conjunction with Rogue Farm Corp. Details and dates are coming soon. See 2016 class/field trip schedule.
BUFA partners include: OSU, Grow Portland, Rogue Farm Corps and Oregon Food Bank.

TREE SEEDLING SALE
Annual native tree seedling sale on Saturday, March 5th. 2016

Location: Lincoln County Fairgrounds / 4H building
Newport, OR

Time: Sale hours are 10am – 3pm or until supply runs out.

At this sale a number of native tree seedlings and some non-tree species will be available.  This annual event is designed to provide the public with affordable native tree seedlings.
Most seedlings will be $2 each. 
Some supplies are limited so come early before they are sold out.

Buy one or buy one hundred
Douglas fir, Western Hemlock, Western Red Cedar, Noble Fir
With limited quantities’ of Sitka Spruce, Valley,  Ponderosa Pine, Shore Pine, Redwoods (Coastal & Sequoia), other species being pursued & Native Ornamentals

2016 Master Gardener Program Certification Classes

Sponsored by OSU Lincoln County Extension at Oregon Coast Community College, South Beach Campus
Tuesdays beginning January 5th through the end of March 9:00am-4:15pm
Cost $200 (with volunteer service requirement)
(a few commercial spots are available at $400, no volunteer service requirement)
