CORVALLIS, Ore. – Over the last three years, 250 new and would-be farmers in Oregon have learned to dream strategically in an Oregon State University Extension workshop series called "Growing Farms: Successful Whole Farm Management."

Building Farmers Workshop Series in Tillamook April 24th-May 9th

A workshop series for beginning small farmers is being held in Tillamook that might be attractive to Lincoln County producers, particularly in the north end of the county. Download a brochure and registration form.

Lincoln County Foods Group meeting - Tuesday, May 8th at the OSU Lincoln Co. Extension Office Conf. Room, 12-2pm. Bring a lunch.

1-1-1 Cooking Class March 24th

Kale, one of the most readily available vegetables on the Oregon Coast, is
sometimes met with groans of not again! If this is you, you might enjoy
attending Food Share's first 1-1-1 Cooking Class focusing on Kale to gain
some new tips and cooking techniques. It's one hour cooking class taught
by Chef Pati D’Eliseo of A Posto Personal Chef Services, LLC that focuses
exclusive on one vegetable. Participants will watch, cook, eat and take
home veggies.

The class is Saturday, March 24th from 11am-12pm at the South Beach
Community Center, 3024 SE Ferry Slip Road (across from Pirate’s Plunder).
The class is free, but you need to pre-register to attend (class is
