Reminder: Weekend Events- Farmers Market & Film Series

Saturday: Feb. 14th, LCF Farmers Market 10:00 am-2:00 pm
Sunday: Feb. 12th, Oregon Ocean Fisheries: A Conservation Story from 1:30 pm at OCCC

Attention LCFG, mark your calendars: Lincoln County Foods Group Meeting Schedule

Tuesday Feb 14 from 12-2pm, spring/summer 2012 (2nd Tuesday of every other month):
Tuesday, March 13th 12-2pm Newport Extension Office
Tuesday, May 8th 12-2pm Newport Extension Office
Tuesday, July 10th 12-2pm Newport Extension Office

Per the last meeting we have decided on a committee
structure that will allow some Foods Group meetings to focus on one topic,
while every other month we will meet as a full group. Anyone is welcome to
attend all meetings, but since we have a variety of projects that may or
may not interest everyone, we thought this structure would allow for the
most productivity. Please see attached notes for more information.

The meeting on Tuesday will focus on nutrition education opportunities. We
will work on the food/recipe demos at pantries and the "Cooking Matters"
series focusing on volunteer recruitment, volunteer training, logistics
and publicity. Please invite friends that you believe are interested in
volunteering with these opportunities.
