Wild Oregon Fish are hook-and-line (”troll”) caught by Newport-based fishermen.

News from Chloe Rico, Community Food Organizer of Lincoln Co.

Hi,

The next Lincoln County Foods Group meeting will be Tuesday, January 10th from 12-2pm at the Newport Extension Office in the Conference Room. Lunch will be served. Please RSVP (and let me know if you have dietary restrictions) -- I'd like to have an idea about how much food to bring.

We discussed upcoming work for 2012 including a Winter Food Film Series, Food Demos at pantries, cooking classes, a Harvest Meal and Farm Tour in the summer.

We'll spend this next meeting working on the Winter Food Film Series that will run from Jan. 22nd - Feb. 12th. And on a recruitment plan for new group members and volunteers to support upcoming and continuing work.

We would like to get to word out about this upcoming Lincoln County Foods Group meeting because we've had low attendance the end of 2011. Attached is a flier to advertise the meeting and upcoming work. Feel free to send it to listservs, pass it along to friends or print out copies to leave at public places.

I will be at the Jan. 7th Lincoln County Fairgrounds Farmers Market handing out fliers and conducting outreach for the food group, if you would like to join let me know.

Happy New Year!
Chloe
